At Audubon Park Garden District in Orlando, you will find Harry P. Leu Gardens
The Harry P. Leu Gardens is a 50-acre botanical oasis near downtown Orlando that houses more than 40 diverse flora collections from around the world, including Florida's largest formal rose garden and the largest documented collection of camellias in Eastern North America. As part of the National Register of Historic Places, it also houses a beautiful family home from the 1880s. In addition to classes and lectures, permanent and rotating exhibitions, jazz concerts, outdoor movie nights, and other cultural events throughout the year, Leu Gardens is part of Orlando's charming Audubon Park Garden District.

LAKE NONA SCULPTURE GARDEN

In Orlando's tech-forward Lake Nona community, the Lake Nona Sculpture Garden presents a tropical garden with contemporary art. Besides four pieces from local artist JEFRE, this 50000-square-foot outdoor gallery features acclaimed works of art from one of the world's largest private collections. With over 300 palm trees grown on Florida property, fragrant shrubs, and seasonal blooms, it's surrounded by meandering garden paths and artistic seating areas. The garden behind the Lake Nona Wave Hotel features a rotating art collection, offering visitors something new every time they visit.

MEAD BOTANICAL GARDEN
It features lush walking trails, diverse natural landscapes, and cultivated botanical gardens, including two butterfly gardens and a legacy garden just 10 minutes north of downtown Orlando. At one of Orlando's oldest public gardens, come bird-watch along the boardwalk, attend an outdoor concert, or pack a picnic and connect with nature. Visitors to Mead Botanical Garden are free to enter 365 days per year.

KRAFT AZALEA GARDEN
As Winter Park's secret garden, Kraft Azalea Gardens contains towering cypress trees, stunning lake views, and brilliant azaleas. There is also a large surviving banyan tree north of Miami and a beautiful exedra tree that makes this place an ideal spot for painting, picnicking, and lounging in the shade. In 1938, Winter Park residents George and Maud Kraft contributed to the creation of the park by establishing the garden.
UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA ARBORETUM
Over 800 acres of natural Florida ecosystems surround the 7-acre Arboretum Park of the University of Central Florida Arboretum, a living laboratory and nature retreat. The Arboretum's gardens and trails can be visited freely from sunrise to sunset, or you can arrange for a guided tour. It also includes bamboo, native plants, mindfulness gardens, a greenhouse, an apiary, and a boardwalk trail.

Polasek Museum & Garden in Winter Park
Sculptor Albin Polasek's former home, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Garden, blends art and nature. Over 50 outdoor sculptures and native Florida and subtropical plants are displayed in this three-acre lakefront garden at this Winter Park estate.

BOK TOWER GARDENS
A 250-acre oasis with a romantic old Florida feel, Bok Tower Gardens is well worth the hour-and-half drive from Orlando. There are also 205-foot Art Deco Singing Towers, where you can hear live music played daily between 1 and 3 PM. There are beautiful performances all over the gardens, including the nature-inspired Hammock Hollow children's garden and El Retiro, a mansion built in the 1930s in the Mediterranean style. Located near LEGOLAND Florida Resort, it is near Lake Wales.

NEHRLING GARDENS
The Nehrling Gardens are nestled in the German American community of Gotha, near Universal Orlando Resort. It is the former home of pioneering botanist Henry Nehrling, and it hosts over 3000 different plant species, including tropical fruits and palm trees. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this site, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Scientists, horticulturists, and casual visitors all draw attention to it. Visit it Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm and on the first and second Saturdays of each month from 9am to 3pm. If you want to dig a little deeper, make reservations for a tour of Nehrling's 1885 pioneer home or bring gloves to volunteer in the gardens.
